Meet the Staff

Each member of Quintessentially's team has years of experience and is an expert in his or her field, with a wealth of contacts and connections. All share a passion for quality wherever it is found and are committed to seeking it out for Quintessentially's members.

Our staff now comprises almost 700 people globally, and the below sections show just a sample of our staff.

South Africa

Grant Davison | Managing Director

Grant joined Quintessentially in September 2010 as PR, Marketing and Events Manager and was subsequently promoted to Managing Director in June 2011. Having consulted and advised numerous high-profile brands in South Africa, Grant has an extensive background in luxury goods. Today, he is regarded as one of South Africa’s leading mass-affluent and luxury brand strategists. Grant enjoys traditional hobbies such as shooting, polo and sailing and is a Founding Member of LuxurySociety.

Rui Barbosa | Corporate Sales Director and Publisher

Rui graduated in in 1994 from Lisbon, Portugal with a BBA Hons Degree (Bachelor of Business Administration) in International Marketing, Communications and Business Policy. Having worked for Quintessentially South Africa since June 2011, he now is the Sales Director for Corporate Business Development and Publisher for Quintessentially Africa magazine. Not only was Rui responsible for the inception of Prestige magazine in South Africa, but he also rather impressively managed its sales team to new records in the luxury lifestyle media arena. With extensive experience in dealing with luxury brands and networking within the high net worth individual sector in South Africa, Rui has also worked as an Account Manager for three international advertising agencies in Europe, Cape Town and Johannesburg over a period of twelve years.

Robyn August | Head of Member Assistance

Robyn August is a passionate individual who has made a name for herself in the luxury lifestyle industry over the past 4 years. Robyn joins Quintessentially with a background in marketing and interior decorating. Passionate about customer relations, Robyn is an all round team player and devoted to providing outstanding customer service at all times. Robyn’s wonderful personality has made her a welcome addition to our South African office.

Glenda Khoza | Dedicated and Corporate Account Manager

Glenda is a qualified Montessori Director and is currently studying for a diploma in Marketing through IMM. After completing courses in Events Management and Physchology, Glenda took on roles in childcare and event management, moving between Sydney, Australia and Chicago, Illinois. Glenda's outgoing and friendly personality, strong attention to detail combined with a love for the finer things in life make her a perfect addition to the team. Always keeping up with the latest trends, she is able to "keep up with the Kugles in Joburg".

THOKO NTHONGOA | Member Assistance

Thoko brings to Quintessentially exceptional customer care skills gained over many years of her professional experience. She has a passion for art, painting and enjoys traveling the world.

Taran Brittoe | Member Assistance

Throughout her career, Taran has worked across a diverse range of industries from banking to public relations and even a spell at the Johannesburg International Airport. Taran is currently studying for a degree in marketing that allows her to pursue her passion for interacting with new people. In her free time Taran is a voracious reader and also enjoys exploring the Johannesburg nightlife with her friends.
